The Garden
The house and flat are situated in a quarter acre of private garden overlooking Knock Bay and the Sound of Sleat in South Skye and we would be delighted if you wished to make full use of it.
The garden is sculpted into the natural contours of the land and meanders uphill in parts with flat lawns dotted about joined by paths and steps. Seasonal shrubs and plants as well as mature trees accentuate the lawns and plenty of seating is provided to help make the most of the garden and its views.
There are open fields on two sides and depending upon the time of year you visit, you can watch lambs gambolling in the field or lovely calves exploring the big wide world.
Lots of different birds visit our garden including pheasants, blackbirds, thrushes, chaffinches, tits, goldfinches, sparrows, doves, the occasional tame seagull, swallows and robins. In the spring it is a delight to watch the fledglings being fed.
On a lovely Skye day it is wonderful to pick a sheltered spot in the garden, sit down, relax and drink in the view and tranquillity and if you are a keen gardener you are welcome to pick up a hoe and potter about!
